The members of laboratory are active in education and research and have published 10 books for students, 15 chapters in books and two monographies in fields of robotics and functional electrical stimulation.
They participated at conferences with more than 350 oral presentations or posters and published their work in more than 145 reviewed journal papers.

Members of laboratory received 19 Ph. D. degrees of Doctor of Science, 23 M. Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering and 215 students has graduated in Electrical Engineering.

 

The laboratory members, prof. Kralj and prof. Bajd received for their work in the field of Functional Electrical Stimulation of paraplegics highest national research award in 1990 and prof. Bajd also received the Vidmar award for educational work in 1990. In 2000 prof.Bajd was elected IEEE Fellow. In 2003 prof.Bajd was elected member of Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
In 1997 and 2001 Bedjanič and Prešeren award , were received by the students working in our laboratory.
On May 30, 2000, the laboratory member dr. Bardorfer won the 2000 IEEE Region 8 Student Paper Contest!.
In 2002 dr.Kamnik and prof.Bajd received the Government Office for the Disabled and Chronically Sick of the Republic of Slovenia for the work Robotic device for standing up training.
Professor Marko Munih is recipient of the Zois award in 2002, given for outstanding scientific contrbutions by the Slovene Ministry of Science, Education and Sport.
Professor Alojz Kralj received in 2005 award Ambassador RS of science for improving international reputation of Slovenian science with his research achievements in science.

 
Laboratory members are also in journal editorial boards of:

   - International Federation of Automatic Control - IFAC.

In the last period they took major part in organisation of
   The Ljubljana FES Conference in 1993,
   The Ninth International Conference on Mechanics in Medicine and Biology in 1996,
   7th Annual Conference of the International FES Society 2003 and
   16th International Workshop on Robotics in Alpe-Adria-Danube Region RAAD 2007

The laboratory members are also every year serving in numerous conference boards.
